From Bluff Dale, turn on Jenkins road right, follow CR 172 to Woodrock Ranch on the left.  From Hico from HWY 281, to CR 220 north, to CR 2481, turn right on Compass Way, left on Lanyard Dr, to CR 172, turn right to Woodrock ranch.


When: May 1-3, 2026


DESCRIPTION: Join us at Woodrock Ranch, a 2000 acre location, for a weekend of camping and riding. Don’t have a living quarters trailer? Woodrock has a bunkhouse and private hilltop cabin for rent.  Riding surface is a mix of rocks and sandy loam.  Two trail systems; 8 miles each. This is a TETRA sponsored ride in conjunction with Lake Ray Roberts Equestrian Trails Association (LRRETA).

REGISTRATION

  • Registration will open on March 18th, not time specific.

  • Note: once the tetra website registration page is ready, LRRETA will link directly to that Event registration page on the LRRETA Facebook Event as well as the LRRETA Website https://www.LRRETA.com/event 

BOOKING FEES:

  • RV/LQ Hookup sites: $100 - ($50 for the site, $20 Ranch fee $30 TETRA/LRRETA Event fee)

  • Primitive Sites: $80 ($30 for the site, $20 Ranch fee $30 TETRA/LRRETA Event fee)

  • Hilltop Cabin (1 Rider): $175 for the weekend ($125 Cabin, $20 Ranch Entry Fee + $30 TETRA Event Fee). One bathroom, kitchen, queen bed, bring your own linens.  One additional Guest $50 ($20 Ranch Fee + $30 TETRA/LRRETA Event Fee).  Contact Geri if interested.

  • Red Barn (up to 6 people): $230 for the weekend ($150 bunkhouse, TETRA $30 fee, Ranch fee $20, one large pen up to four horses, $30).  6 twin bunk beds, bathroom & small kitchen bring bedding. Guests, up to five people, pay their own $50 Registration fees ($20 Ranch Entry Fee + $30 TETRA/LRRETA Event Fee). Contact Geri if interested.

HORSE PENS

  • One Shaded Horse Pen: $30/horse for the weekend. Large size can hold up to 4 horses - Note: this pen is reserved for the bunkhouse folks.

  • One unshaded pen: $20/horse for the weekend).  Medium size can hold 2 horses.

  • One Unshaded Horse Pen: $20/horse for the weekend. Large size can hold 4 horses.

OTHER:

  • TETRA/LRRETA Haul-in Ride Day ride: $30 ($10 Ranch Fee and $20 TETRA/Fee)

  • TETRA/LRRETA Non-Rider Meal-only Fee: $10/Person/weekend

MORE DETAILS:

  • RV/LQ Hookups are on poles - two on each side (for a total of four hookups per pole). It is a large area for maneuvering your rig.

  • If you book a shaded or unshaded pen for your horse, please know that these pens are not situated close to the RV Hookup area.

  • Bath house includes toilets and showers

  • TETRA and LRRETA have booked the dining hall and kitchen for our event

  • Horse Pen options aren’t great - it’s a good idea to bring your portable pen

WOODROCK RANCH RULES

  • Remove and haul off all trash. All buildings and grounds will be left clean and free of trash.

  • Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.  No dogs are allowed in buildings or on trail.

  • Horse manure and hay may be scattered around trailers.

  • Portable pens, including electric pens, are allowed near your campsite but must be limited to 250 square feet in size and hold not more than 2 equines each.  Large grazing areas are prohibited.

ITINERARY:

  • Friday:

    • Check in and register at 4:00PM

    • 6:00 Meet and greet-Bring your favorite appetizers to share with others.

  • Saturday:

    • Coffee available in the dining hall, breakfast on your own

    • 9:AM Ride out on the trails

    • 12:00 Return to camp lunch on your own

    • 1:30 Ride out on the trails

    • 4:00 Return to camp.

    • 6:00 Dinner with main course TBA.  Please bring your favorite dish to share.

  • Sunday 

    • 9:00AM Ride out on the trails

    • 11:00 Return to camp

    • 1:00 Break camp and depart
