October 11-13, 2024

Workdays at McCown Valley:  There is a 3-day work weekend. This is beautiful park is located on Lake Whitney and is TETRA's first project after founding in 1997.  

This is a non-horse event while conducting trail work.  Bring your loppers and nippers and best walking shoes. If anyone has a tractor, the trails need to be shredded one more time this year. McCown Valley Park will be closed beginning October 1, 2024 for road repairs. No equestrians will be in the park when we are working that weekend. The COE suggested this will be the best time to get this work done.

1. We will be working on the TETRA barn at the Day Use area at McCown Valley to stabilize the poles in the middle of the barn.
   
2. New trail markers for the entire trail system started, pvc markers will be installed with color & mileage signs.

Camping is in the day use area, which has 10 spots available.  This is at no fee to for volunteers. For anyone wanting to come, please call or text Sylvia for an electrical spot at the Day Use area. If you register online, you will have to pay for your spot. Breakfast will be provided to all volunteers Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Supper will be potluck with meat provided. Lori and Joe Green are in charge of meals.
