Annual Christmas Ride Held at PHR
December 11-13, 2009
The weather for the TETRA Christmas ride was a deterrent for some folks but the ones that did arrive had a fantastic time. The weather improved and groups enjoyed their time on the trail. Kelly Boesen and Sue brought their wagon and led the ride down the back trails at Parrie Haynes. This was a good training session for some horses and the riders appreciated the opportunity.
Santa Claus, aka Richard and Louise Burney, handed out gifts to everyone present including six youngsters who came to enjoy the party. Some teenagers came to party with us and sang along with Murray Price while he sang traditional Christmas songs. The funniest part was when Sue Boesen signed the words to "Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer" while Jillian was sitting in her lap. Kelly drove his wagon on Sunday morning again and split from the group when the trail became too thick and the rest of us rode down to the river.
It was a great weekend.
Plans for next years ride is already in the works, be sure to check out online calendar and look for announcements, make plans to join us in 2010.
