TETRA Region 3 and 4 Joint Meeting

Park Horse Trailers behind the Stockyard Outdoor Arena just north of NE 23rd Street. (1-1/2 blocks south of the Hyatt Place, Fort Worth Stock Yards) Negative Coggins Required and will be checked during sign in. Bring items to clean up behind your horse when we are done riding…pack it out as we want to leave area cleaner than we find it. We will ride from this area along the Iron Horse Trail and down the Fort Worth Branch of the Trinity Trail Systems and back.
Trail ride: Be ready to ride at 8:30 a.m. We will be back in time to meet non-riders at 11:30 am at Coopers BBQ. (We are working on seeing if we can relocate our horse trailers and horses from behind the Stockyards to the large parking lot by Coopers BBQ after our ride. In either case we will need to clean up behind ourselves wherever we park at…so bring brooms, picks, shovels and large trash bag to pack it out.)
Lunch: Non-riders and riders will meet at 11:30 at Coopers BBQ, 301 Stockyard Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76164. (Lunch pay as you go. We will have a seating area reserved for us)
Joint meeting for Regions 3 and 4 will be held during lunch. (open forum)
Main topic: Planning a trail ride at LBJ National Grasslands north of Decatur, TX in 2014 and other trail rides and Driver update on trails in Regions 3 and 4 that would support wagons.
Additionally, Jack Wilkes will lead a second ride along the same trail for those interested after the meeting at Cooper’s BBQ.
Cost: Trail Ride is no cost. Lunch is at your expense.
Several people have inquired about potential overnight camping on Friday, Dec 13. If you would like to arrive Friday, Dec 13 and stay over Saturday night, the Fort Worth Stockyards offers Stabling and RV hookup. Please register on the TETRA Site regardless of whether you will be riding or not (so that we know how many we need to confirm seating for at Cooper’s BBQ for lunch. If you don’t register you might not have a seat with us for lunch.)
