Willis Creek Park, Granger Lake Workday
March 28th, 9:00 – 3:00 or as long as you can stay.
Volunteers Needed!
We are looking for individuals willing to help work on the equestrian trails located at Willis Creek Park, 2900 County Road 348, Granger, TX.
We will inspect all trails for hazards, clear any downed tree limbs and trim as needed. We will meet at the equestrian trail head parking area located in Willis Creek Park at 9 AM. If you have a UTV, please bring it for transportation. Let me know if you can bring yours for the workday.
Bring your work gloves. Recommend long sleeve shirt and pants as there is poison ivy along some trails. Please bring chain saws, loppers and other equipment for clearing downed tree limbs along the trail and in the parking area. Large trash bags will be provided to pick up any trash found along the trails.
A weed eater or push lawnmower would be helpful to clean up the horse pens in the equestrian area. Let me know if you can bring one with you.
Bring lunch and water if you plan to stay most of the day.
This is a non-horse event; we will not ride horses on this day.
Register at tetratrails.org. Registering lets us know how many volunteers to expect which allows us to better plan for the workday.
