TETRA Region 11 Trail Ride
Brackenridge Recreaton Complex
November 3, 2012

Come join us for a Region 11 Kick-off/Get Acquainted one day ride on Saturday, November 3rd at Brackenridge Recreation Complex (www.brackenridgepark.com)approximately 7 miles south of Edna, Tx. Entrance to the park is off of State Hwy 111 and once in the park observe signage for equestrian trail area. Trailer parking is available at the trailhead at the back of the property. No electrics are available. Drinking water is available for horses at the trailhead only. They are allowed to drink from the lake at the owner/rider's own risk.

The equestrian trail is 12.5 miles round trip. The 16 ft. wide trail winds through wooded areas, open grasslands and near the lake in some places.



Check in and registration will begin around 9:00 a.m. and the ride will begin about 10:30. Proof of negative coggins is required at check-in.  Please drive past park office and check in at table at trailhead. Continental breakfast will be available upon arrival and sandwich makings, chips, etc. will be available the end of the ride. Attendees should bring lawn chairs and a snack if they desire one during the ride.


The dayride fee is $20 for TETRA members and $25 for Non-TETRA members. This includes continental breakfast and lunch. The fee will be paid at registration. Also, if you wish to stay overnight, cabins and campsites may be arranged with the BRC park office by calling 361-782-5456.

Directions to Brackenridge Recreation Complex: Take Hwy 59 to Edna, then State Hwy 111 South for approximately 7 miles to park entrance.

From Austin and San Antonio, pick up Hwy 183 in Gonzales to Cuero. Go left on Hwy 111 to Edna, 7 miles to park entrance.
