Hello, all Region 8 members, old and new! This is Sylvia Perry, and I am anxious to meet all of you and to find out your concerns and goals for Region 8.

My husband, Blanfard and I have been Region 8 Directors when TETRA was first developed and continued to stay directors for the next 8 years, until all the equestrian parks had been developed and completed in Region 8.

In 2006, we dropped out of being super active to allow others that had better ideas to take over the region. When TETRA began, each region would have a yearly meeting with their regional members (other regional members were always welcome to attend). This meeting was not a part of the general annual membership meeting.

We will have lunch and a guest speaker and discuss member goals for the Region. During past meetings, we had a lot of participation, and as a result, were able to develop at least 7 equestrian areas, including Parrie Haynes Ranch (with pens, hookups, kitchen, meeting room and patio). We have plenty of room for all to attend.

It seems all of our equestrian areas in Region 8 are being overseen by some amazing managers. I am eager to listen to these manager’s goals and objectives for their individual areas and to try to understand their frustrations regarding overseeing these areas. Our meeting would be a time for these managers to talk to our regional members about their trails and their needs.

I’m hoping to attend as many rides in Region 8 as possible. If members would like to contact me, I read and reply to texts faster than email or phone calls.
