TETRA Ride at San Angelo State Park

May 20-22, 2022

San Angelo

We are excited to offer something different this year.  Due to some requests, we will be camping and riding on the south side of the park where there are many more exciting and beautiful trails.  Most are fairly rocky with small gravel, so shoes or boots are suggested for your horses.

Ride out for Saturday and Sunday mornings is 9:00 a.m., pack snack or lunch for Saturday.  Sunday will be back by noon.

Saturday night potluck.  TETRA will provide plates, utensils, and evening meat dish.  Bring all your delicious side dishes!  All other meals on your own.  Please bring items for a silent auction Saturday evening. Auction proceeds to benefit Friends of San Angelo State Park for improvements at the equestrian campground and TETRA.

Check in at Southside Park Gatehouse to pay daily entrance fee of $4. Negative Coggins is required on all horses.

Registration: TETRA member fee $20, Non-member fee $35, Day rider fee $15.

IMPORTANT NOTE: For reservation campsites at the Pavilion please contact Linda Ashton.  Reservations open on March 1, 2022.  No early reservations.

Additional primitive campground, Isabel Harte, is nearby.  These pads are short, very nice and offer a restroom and water nearby.  Fee: $10 per night reservations made through reserveamerica.com .  North Concho campground is also available at the  equestrian area with pens.  Trailer each day to the south side for the trail ride.  Make reservations at reserveamerica.com .  It is about an 8-mile drive from the north side to the south side.
