Cooper Lake has panoramic views of the lake, trails through forest shade and many opportunities to view wildlife while riding.  This trail covers nearly 600 acres and over 10 miles.  The trail is accessible from all sites in the Buggy Whip camping area.  Known for great fishing and horseback riding.

Buggy Whip Equestrian Campground has has concrete pads, back-in spaces with water and electricity, a table, fire-ring, lantern post and a 20' tether cable for the horses. The restrooms have showers.  The campground is clean, with high ties for horses, no pens.  You can bring your own pens or electric pens, there is plenty of room.  The terrain is sand/clay.  Approximately 10 miles of shaded trails.

Member ride fee is $20, non-member is $35, day rider is $15. There are a total of fifteen sites, three of these are double sites (107,113,116,).  These double sites work well for camping buddies.  Day use area cannot be used for overnight parking.
