Dorris Ann has invited us to ride on her private ranch to enjoy the clean pastures, the running creeks and the herds of registered cows.  We will ride with her through pastoral areas and near a cemetery.

Arrive no earlier than 2:00PM Friday.  Check in will begin by 4:00, PM, with current Coggins required. 

There will be a short ride on Friday evening for early arrivals.  Ride out Saturday morning leaving at 9:00, returning to camp about noon.  Saturday afternoon ride  at 2:00 and return to camp about 5:00.  Sunday morning ride leaves at 9:00. No riding on your own.  Please leave the pasture as pristine as when we arrived.  

Saturday night dinner BBQ brisket with fixings, bring drinks and dessert. Don't miss this meal.  Dorris Ann puts on a fantastic spread, its worth the price of admission!  Meal served at the carport at the Painted Horse Inn (the house near the gate).  For other meals, there are restaurants in Buffalo which is about 15 minutes down the road.   A fire ring will be available.

Primitive camping only, no hookups, Friday and Saturday night.  Horse water in camp and creek water on the trails.  No public restrooms.

The Painted Horse Inn is rented.  If you missed it this time, reserve early for the next ride.

Ride surface is mainly red sand, with rocky creek crossings.  Register online at tetratrails.com.  For more information about the ride, call or text Geri Bischoff at 512-658-0937. 

TETRA rules /trail etiquette must be observed on all TETRA sponsored trail rides. Horses prone to kick must have a red ribbon attached to their tail. Dogs must stay on a leash at all times. No dogs on the trail.  Generators should be turned off by 10PM.  Please be ready by  the set "ride out" time. Make this trail ride enjoyable and safe for everyone by adhering to trail ride rules.

DIRECTIONS: In Buffalo, Texas, turn south on Hwy 75 from the intersection of Hwys 79 and 75.  Go 4 miles to FM 831 and turn east. You will go 10 miles - through the town of Flo and across Serasco Creek - to a brick gate.  Take the ranch road to the camp area. Signs will be posted.
