Please be aware this ride has been rescheduled from September 22 to October 6 due to forecast of poor weather conditions. 

Join us for a lovely day of riding enjoyment at Land Heritage Institute (LHI).  TETRA has been involved for many years with the vision and realization of this great area to enjoy what south Texas has to offer.  Variety is key in riding opportunities along the Medina river, rich in Texas history from Native Americans and early settlers. Don’t let this special day pass you by.  Join TETRA for a great day of riding and introduction to this lovely place.  Go to www.landheritageinstitute.org for more information.  

 Onsite Registration: Changed to October 6, 2018 @ 8:00-9:30 am

Fee:   Adults: $20 Children 12 and under free Lunch included

Special TETRA membership drive discount for active and retired military, family membership $20, individual membership $15.

Event Schedule: Saturday Morning guided ride 10 a.m.   

Lunch served: 12:30-1:30pm         

Afternoon ride   1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.  

This is a guided ride, no riding on your own allowed.

Gates close at 5:00PM Saturday evening.

Friday night overnight fee for camping and pens, contact Peggy Oppelt at 210-846-9403.        

Parking is in designated area by the LHI Headquarters.   

Those who reserved a site for September 21, your reservation has been moved to October 5.  If you need to cancel your site or get a refund, please contact Peggy Oppelt.

A negative Coggins required for each horse.

Water for horses is available at gathering area.

Trail Etiquette:

All dogs must be on leash.  No dogs allowed on the trail.

Horses prone to kick must be flagged with a red ribbon.

Uncontrollable horses are not allowed.

All riders are to stay behind the Trail Boss/Ride Leader on the trail ride.

This facility is an alcohol and smoke free facility.

No riding doubles,

No ponying horses.

Directions:  From 1604 South, go North on Applewhite Rd, turn right on Neal Rd.

From IH 35 South, Exit 149, or 410 south, go South on Hwy 16, to Lone Star Pass, turn left and go East to Applewhite Rd, turn right and go to Neal Rd, turn left.
