September 28 - 30, 2018

Dorris Ann has invited us to ride on her private ranch to enjoy the clean pastures, the running creeks and the herds of registered cows.  We will ride with her through pastoral areas and near a cemetery.

Ride out Saturday morning leaving at 9:00, returning to camp about noon.  Saturday afternoon ride  at 2:00 and return to camp about 5:00.  Sunday morning ride leaves at 9:00. No riding on your own.  Please leave the pasture as pristine as when we arrived.

Saturday potluck supper will be the only meal served at the carport at the Painted Horse Inn (the house near the gate). The ranch is graciously cooking hamburgers so bring your own drink and a dessert to share.   For other meals, there are restaurants in Buffalo which is about 15 minutes down the road.   A fire ring will be available.

Primitive camping Friday and Saturday night.  Horse water in camp and creek water on the trails.  No public restrooms.

The Painted Horse Inn is available for rent for the weekend for $250 a night.  It sleeps 6 to 12 people with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths.  The kitchen is open.  All linens and paper products will be furnished.  To reserve, call Doris Ann at 903-545-2587.

There will be 8 covered 10' x 12' stalls with a 12' X 20' run available for $25/ weekend.  Call Doris Ann at 903-545-2587.
