TETRA Ride at San Angelo State Park

June 05 to 07, 2015

  San Angelo

TETRA Region 7 is sponsoring a trail ride at San Angelo State Park June 6 & 7, 2015. You can arrive on Friday, June 5th after 2 PM. TETRA fee is $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers.

Ride out for Saturday and Sunday mornings is 9:00 a.m.  On Saturday, we will ride in an area not usually used by riders riding to Macy's Grave.  All riders will ride out together eating lunch on the trail (if you want) then can ride longer or return to camp. Sunday will be a shorter ride out.  It is also permitted to ride by oneself if desired. There are roads that would also be good for wagon folks.

If anyone is interested, we can have a Tack Swap Meet/Sale. So bring your unused tack and see if you can find new homes for it.  Place your item by your trailer with a price tag attached.

Friday night meal will be served until gone. TETRA will provide the meat for Saturday Bar BQ and potluck meal, cooked by Park Superintendent Kurt Kemp, at the Pavilion.  Bring all your delicious dishes! After supper if enough folks are interested in a Bison/Longhorn tour we can go to the South side for a Ranger tour.

Breakfast and lunch on your own.

A park entrance fee ($4.00) will be charged at park Entrances - North or South Gatehouse (they prefer you check in at the South Entrance gate). Please note do not follow GPS directions to Park Headquarters as this is the Maintenance location. TETRA Registration will be at the North Concho Equestrian entrance off of FM 2288.  There are 10 electric sites available and 13 primitive sites available.  Please call Debby Alley at 512-517-9476 or merlyn6453@sbcglobal.net for reservations.   I will be able to specify whether it is a pull-through/back-in site and how many pens.  It is 30 amp electric outlets.  Electric sites are $20 a night and primitive sites are $10 a night.  Reservations may be remitted to 506 Hidden Oak  Elgin, Tx 78621.

FMI about the park or directions you can call Linda Ashton – 325-656-4322 or emaillinda.ashton@gmail.com
