TETRA ACTHA Trail Competition Ride
April 25& 26, 2015
TETRA is having another ACTHA Competition at the Mineola Nature Preserve. This a Competitive Trail Challenge (CTC).
The proceeds from this ride will go to the Equestrian Facilities at the Mineola Nature Preserve for improvements.
What is an ACTHA COMPETITIVE TRAIL CHALLENGE (CTC)? It is 6 miles, 6 obstacles, 6 judges…and unlimited fun! Obstacles are mostly natural, and each has its own judge, alleviating partiality. Go to the ACTHA websites for a complete list of obstacles.
Rides take about 2 to 2 1⁄2 hours. The rides start with a briefing before trail riders head out, followed by lunch and awards.
If you wish to participate as a rider at this event, you must register and pay online at the ACTHA website at https://www.actha.us/.

Sabine River) with trails available during the non-rainy season. Creeks with natural crossing and bridges, steep hills, sandy soil, flat level trails, ponds, meadows, and a variety of wildlife are normally viewed on an average ride. There are more than 20 miles of trails routinely available. THE
DERBYhas a large parking area, a pavilion with showers and restrooms, a handicapped ramp for mounting, and a 2 horse rack that was donated by TETRA. There are 14 RV hook-ups available (electricity, water, and sewer) and 24 horse pens. Shoes are not required.
